Lawrenceburg Man Faces Domestic Violence Charges

 

   A Lawrenceburg man faces domestic violence charges in the wake of an altercation early last week that involved his wife.

   Lawrenceburg Police Officers report they were dispatched to the couple’s 428 Sixth Street home around 7:30 p.m. Monday. They report that the forty-nine-year-old female resident had sustained obvious injuries to the face.

   The victim told deputies that she and her husband had become involved in an argument that had initially begun “because of other family members.”

   During the ensuing altercation, the victim reported that her husband pushed her to the ground and struck her several times in the face with his fist.

   As a result of the investigation, Franklin Joseph Bell, age 46, was placed under arrest on charges of domestic assault. He was transported to the Lawrence County Jail without further incident.

   Bell is slated to answer the charge through Lawrence County General Sessions Court on Thursday, February 7, 2008.
